Bart Hester is a life-long Arkansan, who learned the value of hard work and public service while growing up in Green Forest, Arkansas, where his parents were school teachers.
Bart received his bachelor's degree in Business Management from the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. While attending the university, he was a three years letterman for the Arkansas Razorback's Baseball Team.
He married his high school sweet heart, Ashley Dorsey. He and Ashley, his wife of fourteen years, live in Bentonville with their four children; Brooklyn, Addey Jo, Nik and Madden Hester. They attend the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, where Bart serves as a Deacon.
After graduation, Bart went to work for J.B.Hunt in real estate development. Bart started his own company focused on real estate development, construction, and sales across of Northwest Arkansas.
Bart was elected to the Arkansas State Senate in 2012, where he has championed tax cuts government transparency, and reducing unnecessary government regulation and bureaucracy. Bart was a driving force behind eliminating government ear mark spending known as GIFs.
Bart was elected as the Senate Majority in a unanimous bi-partisan vote in 2018 and serves in the position today.
Bart is a member of the National Rifle Association, Razorback “A” Club, and Arkansas Realtors Association.

Bart and Ashley, have been married nineteen years. They have four children; Brooklyn, Addey Jo, Nik and Madden Hester. They attend the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, where Bart serves as a Deacon.

Bart was elected to the State Senate in 2012, representing most of Benton County. In 2018, he was elected Senate Majority Leader. Bart continues to lead, carry key legislative priorities for Northwest Arkansas
